Iconic Image
'Modernity v. Holiness'
This is my final piece. In making this I've been thinking about queer identity, modernity, and what we consider to be holy in this day and age. I also took inspiration from stained glass church windows and biblically accurate depictions of angels.
Bowie is an icon for sure. I always loved the painted lightening bolt on their face in this photo. I think it would be cool to incorporate some of the colors once you start "destroying" the photo.
